Southern California FLL Teams Gather for Exciting Pre-Qualifying Tournament Scrimmage!

Oct 22, 2025

This past weekend, we had the incredible opportunity to co-host an amazing event for all Southern California FLL teams! In partnership with Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, we organized the FLL Pre-Qualifying Tournament Scrimmage, a fun and action-packed day of teamwork, learning, and friendly competition.

The event drew teams from across the San Fernando and Conejo Valley regions. Participants got a firsthand look at the official competition field setup and enjoyed a smooth, energetic event complete with music, announcers, and plenty of excitement. Each team had its own pit table to troubleshoot, collaborate, share snacks, and relax between robot runs.

Teams kicked things off with a practice round, followed by three official robot runs on the competition tables. Robots were queued and assigned to one of two official tables, and the highest score from each team’s three runs determined their final ranking.

🏆 Congratulations to Our Top Teams!

  1. Everything is Awesome – 1st Place

  2. IDEA SQUAAAAAAD!!! – 2nd Place

  3. Demboys9 – 3rd Place

Each winning team received a custom 3D-printed trophy, generously provided by Notre Dame High School’s FTC Robotics Team, Robo Knights (Team 4348)!

After the scrimmage, the Robo Knights invited all FLL teams to tour their workshop, check out their current-season robot, and even see the 2024–25 robot that took them to the FIRST World Championships in Houston, Texas. The FLL students had a blast cheering as the Robo Knights’ robot launched balls across the field and scored impressive shots!

A huge thank-you to Robo Knights for co-hosting the event, providing the space, and supporting with volunteers. Your hospitality made this scrimmage a fantastic experience for everyone involved!

Don't miss a beat!
